yumm Wild Rice Soup Prep time 15 mins Cook time 15 mins Total time 30 mins A creamy and delicious soup that tastes just like Dayton's Boundary Waters Restaurant's Wild Rice Soup. Yumm! Author: Heather Serves: 6 Ingredients 6 tablespoons butter 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 cup flour 4 cups chicken broth 1 cup whipping cream 1/8 cups Dry Sherry 1 1/2 cups wild rice, cooked 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon white pepper Preparation In a large pot, melt butter. Add onion and cook to soften. about 5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Add broth and whisk until smooth. Add cream and Sherry, whisk until combined. Simmer. Add rice, salt, and pepper. and simmer 5 minutes. Serve and Enjoy. Notes I used Red Lake Nation Foods Quick Cook Wild Rice & prepared it according to box directions. So quick, easy, and delicious.
