Cozy Cranberry Cake With Warm Caramel Butter Sauce - Inspired By Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter

This yummy cranberry cake drizzled with buttery caramel deliciousness is an easy to make treat that I love & look forward to making every Autumn.

INGREDIENTS
Cake 
  • 3 cups whole cranberries 
  • 3 cups flour 
  • ½ cups sugar 
  • 3 tsp baking powder 
  • 3/4 tsp salt  
  • 1 cup milk 
  • ½ Tbs Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • Oil spray
Warm Butter Sauce 
  • 1 cup Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter 
  • ½ Half-and-Half 
  • 1 cup sugar 
  • 1 cup brown sugar 
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract 
INSTRUCTIONS
Sauce
  1. Preheat Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. 
  3. Add milk, butter, and vanilla extract, mix until well combined. 
  4. Add cranberries, fold into batter until well distributed. 
  5. Grease a 9x13 pan with cooking oil spray or some butter. 
  6. Pour batter into pan, spread evenly. 
  7. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. 
  8. Remove cake from oven. Let cool at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Sauce
  1. Meanwhile, heat butter in a saucepan on medium heat until slightly brown. 
  2. Add Half-and-Half and sugar. 
  3. Stir until sugar has dissolved and the ingredients are well combined. 
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract. 
  5. Serve warm drizzled over slices of cake. 
NOTES
1. Can use 3 cups blueberries instead of 3 cups cranberries. 
2. Can make a "red, white, & blue cake" by using 1 ½ cups cranberries & 1 ½ cups blueberries. 
3. To make a "Warm Butter Sauce" use 2 cups of granulated (white) sugar instead of the combination of 1 cup granulated & 1 cup brown sugar.
